Liz, the Training & Compliance Manager at the El Paso County Juvenile Probation Department, has been a dedicated member of the team since 2000. She oversees the training of over 200 employees, aiming to provide the highest quality services to clients. Liz specializes in instructing on various topics, including Training for Trainers (T4T), Trauma-Informed Care, Cultural Competency, Character Training, and Motivational Interviewing.
Since 2009, Liz has been an integral part of the Motivational Interviewing Team at the El Paso County Juvenile Center, serving as a trainer, coder, coach, and curriculum developer. A notable achievement in her career was attending the MI Training - New Training Network (TNT) in Montreal, Canada, in 2016, where she became a member of MINT.
In her spare time, Liz actively participates in non-profit events such as Global Youth Service Day, Food Drives, and Toy Drives. She is committed to building strong relationships within her community and serves on various committees. Liz’s goal is to continue mentoring at-risk families and supporting agencies that work with this population, striving to be a positive role model for the El Paso community.
