About Me

I am originally from the UK, moved to Asheville, North Carolina in 2005 to get my Masters in Counseling. The plan was to go back to the UK in 2007, but that never happened. I became a US citizen in 2013. I fell in love with the Mountains and North Carolina became home.

Trainer Statement

I became a MINT trainer in Asheville in 2011, and have been providing trainings for comprehensive behavioral health agencies, integrated care in Family Medicine, and behavioral health hospitals since that time. During Covid, I transitioned to providing virtual live trainings and now offer combinations of the two. I am as passionate about Motivational Interviewing as I was when I started doing this, and nothing is more rewarding than helping others learn and develop their MI skills and confidence.

Training Interests

I love training adults working with populations struggling with addiction. I have always enjoyed opportunities to co-train and find creative, new ways to learn and practice skills. I love it when there's an opportunity to do ongoing coaching with people.
