Brittany Godin is a professional who worked in the Corrections field in the Canadian Criminal Justice System near Vancouver, BC for 17+ years. Brittany also works for a non-profit organization as a contractor, consultant, and developer for various healthcare projects and initiatives. She believes in socially responsible practice with the focus on the Spirit of Motivational Interviewing embracing integration, innovation, and diversity. She aims to impact businesses and communities in a healthy and positive way. Brittany has been a programs educator within the Corrections Branch for 17+ years and is an active member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). She also has been serving on the MINT Professional Development Committee (PDC) for 3+ years now and serves a MINT Mentor. Brittany is a trained coder with both the A-MICA & MITI. Brittany is passionate about the work she does through the non-profit especially in the areas foundation Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Quality Improvement and in assisting professionals to advance their skill sets. Brittany offers encouraging coaching sessions and further understanding of the various components to MI. Brittany can assist in planning education development and follow up of MI skill sets within various organizations: corrections, healthcare, behavioural science, social services, social workers, rehabilitation, health coaches, physiotherapists, occupational therapist, dieticians, dentistry, family or private practitioners, psychologists, counsellors, and support in consultation for effective and sustainable MI practice.
