I am trained as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervision designation in the state of Ohio. I have experience working with emerging adults and adults in college-settings, private practice, and community practice. I have numerous years of experience teaching motivational interviewing for undergraduate and graduate level college course and providing group trainings for various populations including counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, grief counselors, college advisors, case managers, and healthcare professionals. I am also a Level 1 Certified Coder and Coach in the Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity (MITI) Manual. My background includes motivational interviewing teaching, clinical practice, supervision, and research.
I am currently working in the field of prevention as the Suicide Prevention and Health Promotion Manager for the Ohio Program for Campus Safety and Mental Health at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED).
