More About Me

About Me

I had the fortune of first discovering M.I.  while working at  an outdoor leadership program for at risk young adults in New Mexico in 2004.  M.I. has been the most helpful  approach I have encountered during  10+ years working with youth, adults, and families. My direct practice experience includes working as a counselor and a supervisor for several different wilderness-based outdoor behavioral healthcare and adult leadership programs, serving as a child protective service worker for the Division of Child and Family Services in Nevada, and facilitating psychoeducational and support groups for parents. I really enjoy weaving M.I. into  social work courses I teach for the University of Nevada, Reno.

I am currently working on my LCSW internship at  an FQHC in Nevada.  I can offer occasional MI trainng, consulting, evaluation and MITI based coaching.

When not working, you can find me practicing permaculture or exploring the great outdoors with my wonderful partner (wife) and our hyper-friendly golden retrievers.
