~~This interactive workshop seeks to build the skills of practitioners who have already learned the fundamentals of MI and are interested in further expanding their proficiency. The workshop will review the traps that practitioners can fall into that result in discord and sustain talk, while further augmenting the empathic skills of reflective listening and refining the understanding of the four processes of MI. The participants will have an opportunity to practice complex reflections and expand the ways to respond to change talk to maximize the commitment to change.
Participants will be able to:
• Review & identify the benefits power of engagement.
• Identify & practice complex reflections
• Identify and demonstrate four processes of MI.
• Identify change talk and sustain talk and ways to strengthen change talk.
