facilitator led - Foundational MI

We have adapted our usual two-day workshop for a virtual tele-conferencing format to provide participants with an opportunity to explore creative ways of integrating these approaches into an effective therapeutic intervention -- when to use, when not to use Motivational Interviewing. Motivational Interviewing is a client-centered, evidence-based, directive method for enhancing intrinsic motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence. During this four-day workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of Motivational Interviewing, explore ways of integrating Motivational Interviewing theories into other treatment approaches, and practice Motivational Interviewing on "challenging" clients through role playing and discussion.
