Motivational Interviewing on Purpose: Deepening Your Practice
Join Brewer & Bristow Training for an interactive, 2-part online series for dedicated MI practitioners ready to elevate your skills. Over 6 engaging hours, we’ll dive deep into advanced MI knowledge through hands-on experiential exercises and real-world skills practice. This series focuses on the 4 Tasks of MI—from building meaningful client connections to skillfully evoking transformative change talk. This workshop will be capped at 20 learners. Learners with at least 6 hours of prior training and practice with MI are welcome!

Learning Objectives:

Through participation in this workshop, participants will:

Recall and explain key concepts of Motivational Interviewing (MI), including the four MI Tasks and the role of change talk (i.e., DARN language).

Demonstrate MI skills through exercises with feedback.

Reflect on and evaluate personal values and strengths as they relate to MI practice.

Apply MI techniques in practice scenarios to enhance client engagement and support behavior change.
