Facilitator-led Online Introductory FREE

Brief webinar on Motivational Interviewing. Available for any profession (social work, medicine, education, victim advocacy, etc.)

Training can be an expensive investment in your career development. Before you commit any money to a workshop, check out this free 90 minute "Foundations of MI" webinar to understand what Motivational Interviewing is all about.

Dr. Kate Watson, the President and Founder of The Advocacy Academy, has been teaching Motivational Interviewing for 10 years. She provides workshops to physicians, counselors, nutritionists, educators, social workers, and all kinds of people who want to help others make changes in their lives.

In this brief overview of the foundational concepts, participants will better understand the concepts of ambivalence, change talk, sustain talk, and the righting reflex. By the end of the webinar, participants will have a better understanding of what it takes to be proficient in MI skills.

Outcomes

By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

1. Define Motivational Interviewing

2. Give an example of ambivalence

3. Distinguish between change talk and sustain talk
