Participants will :

  • Learn/re-learn what is  new and distinct in MI from the MI-3 text
  • Sharpen OARS skills
  • Sharpen your ability to recognize, elicit, and respond to change talk and sustain   talk
  • Further your dancing with discord skills
  • Learn  strategies for when, how to initiate a change plan

  • Multi Media, breakouts
  • MI ResearchTeaching and Learning Methods
  • Space limited to maximize the learning and practice opportunities

Virtual Training by  Zoom   9-4:30pm   lunch 12:00-1pm:    12 CEU’s

Audience: Individuals with previous multi-day MI training and who have practiced MI in their role in helping others to make and sustain behavior change.

Helping professionals who are in the role of supporting individuals to make and sustain behavior changes: social workers, counselor’s, MFT’s, physicians, nurses, health educators, care managers, dieticians, counselors, psychologists, life and health coaches, clergy, probation/corrections officers, personal trainers, school counselors, and educators.

Trainer

Debra Neal is a member of the International Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). Speaker, author, counselor and trainer. For the past 20 yrs, Debra has used her experience in her own private counseling practice with couples counseling, addiction and compulsive behaviors, as well and anxiety and mood disorders.
