Motivational Interviewing MITI 4.2.1 Coding Online Training

Learning Objectives:

Through this training, we’re confident that learners will:

  • know the major components of the coding process using the MITI 4.2.1 coding system (Moyers, Manuel, & Ernst, 2014), including assessing globals, parsing utterances, and behavior counts.
  • know the major components of providing MITI 4.2.1 coding feedback in a coaching process parallel to Motivational Interviewing.
  • understand the importance of coding practice with and without transcripts and developing inter-coder consistency for effective use of the MITI 4.2.1 coding system.
  • be able to code recorded samples of sessions for MI fidelity using the MITI 4.2.1 coding system.

Format: Live, interactive, 8-hour online training via Zoom. We welcome global participants to our trainings.
