Abstract | A British Motivational Interviewing (MI) protocol for eating disorders was adapted in French. It was then tested with anorectic patients who had failed to respond to previous treatment. Twelve groups were included in the trial: 6 sessions over 6 weeks, each of them focusing on a specific issue. Patients were asked to prepare for the next session by completing written homework. Two therapists led sessions in a W. S. Miller and S. Rollnick's MI style. Detailed content of sessions and results of assessments are presented and commented on.
