Abstract

Describes a method to regain control over heroin addiction illustrated by the case example of a 32-yr-old male heroin user. Treatment was based on controlled drug use, a relapse prevention model (G. A. Marlatt, 1983), and the motivational interviewing concept. A self-control guide book was used to help the client regain control of drug use behaviors.
