Baylor University, Waco, Texas - Introductory

(MI 3rd Edition)

This workshop includes matrials through the 3rd Edition of Motivational Interviewing. Presenter is  W. C. “Dub” Wright, member of MINT since 1994 and a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and CEU provider.  He has been providing MI workshops at college and professional levels for over 20 years. This workshop is ideal for those who would like to learn basic applications of Motivational Interviewing in a variety of settings, including family,  healthcare, social care, addictions, criminal justice, and education. The audience may include community leaders, mental health and health care professionals, graduate students, and professors    This workshop will be an interactive learning of MI.  Attendees will experience and learn the basic spirit of Motivational Interviewing with focus on the four processes from the Third Edition of Motivational Interviewing.  The goal is to train participants how to integrate MI into their professions and everyday lives.  

.  The workshop is being hosted by Baylor University’s Continuing Education on the 1,000 acre Baylor Univeersity campus Baylor  Baylor School of Social Work CEU’s and MINT Certificates will be available.  Individual follow-through training is available to those attending.  Attendees may schedule individual one hour follow-through via phone, e-mail and/or Skype for one month after presentation at no additional cost.    Major hotels and historical sites are within walking distance from campus such as The Texas Ranger Museum,  national television's "Fixer Upper" with Chip and JoAnn,  Magnolia Silos, numerous antique shops,  the Dr. Pepper Museum, the Chisholm Trail,  and the Armstrong-Browning Library.  Waco is a short drive to Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, or Houston.
