Motivational Interviewing Foundations and Applications

Course is taught through Baylor University's Continuing Education Professional Development department.  It is a highly interactive course designed to provide a basic foundation for Motivational Interviewing practice and learning. Primary focus will be on the spirit, styles, processes and skills of Motivational Interviewing.  Those wishing copies of the Motivational Interviewing 3rd Edition will find it available in the Baylor Bookstore.  Individual follow-through offered to those taking this course via telephone, e-mail, teleconferencing etc up to 3 months after conclusion of the course.  Advanced courses are periodically offered via Baylor. Mr. Wright has been teaching MI for over 25 years and has been a MINT member since 2004.

The course is highly interactive and is taught on the Baylor Campus utilizing modern technology and comfortable classroom spaces.  Lunch is provided on campus cafeteria style.  Numberous hotels are nearby as well as walking distance historial sites.  Waco is between Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin and Houston.  The 1,000 acre Baylor campus is located near local national attractions such as the Texas Ranger Museum, Dr. Pepper Museum, Magnolia Silos, Armstrong-Browning Library plus many others.  There is a walking-bicycle trail several miles long from the campus to Cameron Park along the Brazos river.
